My Family

We are a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpase, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that binds us all together.

Vacation to Albequerque

We left for Albequerque March 9. Twelve hours and several snow storms later we arrived at our hotel. The kids did amazingly well considering all the time in the car. The next day we drove down old route 66 and through "old town". We were going to walk "old town" but it started to rain and was pretty cold. We ate lunch at the Flying ... Flying something. I'll have the ask grandpa the name again, but it was yummy food and of course grandma and grandpa spoiled the kids with cookies for dessert.

We also went to the Little Caesar's Pizza store that Grandpa and Grandma remodeled. Then we went to this authintic Mexican market. Logan was completely grossed out by a skinned cow head ready for roasting. I have to admit it was pretty gross but it was worth seeing Logan's face as he swore he would never eat cow again. I reminded him that McDonalds hamburgers were made from cow and he said "O.K except for those".

The next morning we took the boys swimming at the hotel pool. It's good it was indoors because it was snowing outside. Those boys could swim for hours. I finally dragged Isaac out of the pool because his chin was chattering and his lips were turning blue.

We went to the Natural History Museum. It was alot of fun. There was so much to do and see that we spent the rest of the day there. We saw snakes, spiders, frogs and lots of other creepy crawlies. We studied the universe and the effect gravity has on the planets. We saw the dinosaurs in all their skeleton glory. Grandpa and Greg enjoyed to computer exhibit. Did you know that Microsoft was founded in Albequerque?

We had lots of fun and wore great Grandma Taylor out! She was a trooper.
